NHS Inquiry: mixed sex Hospital Wards are "unacceptable"

Further results revealed by the Andrew Simpson and the Liberal Democrats highlight overwhelming opposition to mixed sex wards in our local Hospitals.

The results of Northampton North Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesman Andrew Simpson's NHS Inquiry show that 85% of local residents find mixed sex wards in hospitals completely unacceptable.

Andrew Simpson said: "When Labour first came to power they promised an end to mixed sex wards. 11 years on and the people of Northampton are still waiting.

"Patients have told me they find it very uncomfortable and highly degrading to have to share a ward with members of the opposite sex while being treated in hospital. This is nothing but a national disgrace and yet another broken promise from this failing Labour government."
