Nick Clegg MP highlights threat to 42 Police

Nick Clegg MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, met the Chief Constable of Northampton Police, Peter Maddison, today to discuss the possible loss of 42 police posts in the County.

Accompanied by Andrew Simpson, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Northampton North, Nick will spent time during the day meeting Councillors and members of the public in the town centre before visiting Spencer After School Club to talk about strategies to tackle youth offending.

Nick was then interviewed for BBC Radio Northampton's Drive-time programme before meeting local members of the party when he was guest of honour at a fundraising dinner at Cardamon City.

A former Member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands region, Nick knows Northampton well having made many visits to the town during his term of office.
